A very popular trend right now, and probably always have been, is carrying a handbag, and it is not just any handbag. Women like to buy expensive handbags from famous designer houses like Fendi, Louis Vuitton and other designers, handbags and purses that is not considered affordable by most people.
Handbags can be very expensive and cost up to 5-6,000 dollars for just a small bag and people are willing to buy anyway. Celebrities like Paris Hilton have their wardrobes full of them.
Now you also buy these expensive handbags for your dogs so you can carry around your little toy dog in a purse.

I am sure you all know the song “Reunited and it feels so good”. That is my theme song right now
I was a bit weary that the man would not make it here, but he was waiting for me after work at one of about 40 Starbucks in Times Square. We had a great dinner at a cozy Cuban joint in midtown, then I delighted myself in some Tasty-Delight (one of many reasons that I love NYC) and then I couldn’t go home without another Starbucks run. Turns out that I ate more than the man in this relationship last night- YIKES! Vlad is still on European time so we were in bed by 9 and awake at 7. Boo! But that makes today nice and long and gives us some time in the morning to post.
I surprised Vlad with 2 pair of tickets to Broadway shows while he is here. Tonight is the first one. For any show the best bag to take with you is a clutch. This is the one major department that my bag collection is lacking. Time to find the perfect clutch. The Fendi Metallic Pleated Folded Clutch
integrates the beauty of gold metallic with the texture of pleated fabric. The shape is a bit different and I love the purse clasp fastening along with the fold down component. While reading about the additions seems overwhelming, actually viewing them makes it all come together. There is gold leaf suede trim, silver rhinestones on one side, a gold logo on the other side, and orange satin lining on the inside. Although black resonates in my mind as the perfect clutch color, I find it perfectly fitting to need a metallic evening bag like this one. I may drag Vlad to go check it out with me today; after all, I am treating him to the Broadway shows right?! Buy this clutch via Net-A-Porter for $660.
For a girl who loves fashion and shopping, NYC is the perfect place to live. While it is perfect, it can also be not so perfect… for your wallet. I feel a kid at Christmas every day I wake up in this city that never sleeps. Usually I stroll down 5th Ave a few times a week just to check up on what new goodies all the designers have to offer. Fendi has become a frequent stop off for me - with their gorgeous furs and even more gorgeous exotic bags. I never could tell if I loved the B. Fendi Bags until I got to try one on. Let me just tell you that I am in love. For fall, if I were not broke, I would opt for the Fendi B. Fendi Lamé Pleated Medium Bag. Designed from bronze lamé pleated grained leather, this handbag adds texture and glam to and already fabulous shape. Fine topstitching, aged brass hardware, and blue textile lining accent this bag. to me, the focal points of the bag are the shoulder straps which attach with aged brass link chains and the two oversized buckle details with double F tabs on the front. Personally, I think this bag is perfect for fall and a perfect size (13″ x 8.5″ x 3.25″). If living in Manhattan were a bit cheaper, I would get myself one of these for fall. The bronze beauty is not cheap: buy it through eLuxury for $3,410.
While the designer is well known, this bag is actually not one of my favorites at all. The Fendi Large Leather Bucket Bag is a new design by Fendi and already out of stock. Why is it out of stock?? It is definitely not my thing. Actually, the bag reminds me of an Easter basket that you would carry around. This bag is made with supple black leather and is trimmed with soft-grained brown and metallic gold leather. Other features of this handbag include top stitching, aged brass hardware, black leather knobs, a twisted leather handle, drawstring closure, and fine textile lining. The whole bucket effect paired with the drawstring closure makes my brain automatically think of a beach bag or a gym bag- which I am sure Fendi did not have in mind. Either way, the bag measures 17″ H x 32″ (perimeter)” x 10″ (at base) and is available (when in stock) via eLuxury for $1640.

I think I have been neglecting wallets lately. That may be because I am in love with the wallet Vlad got me for Christmas, so wallets aren’t at the top of my list of wants and needs. But I can’t pass up a beautiful plastic carrier when I see one
. The Fendi B Wallet shows off soft pebbled leather with a patent leather trim. The goods are on the inside when you find 8 credit card slots, one billfold, one checkbook slot, and one picture slot. I assume if you are a plastic junkie, you can double up in each slot- Ha! There is a buckle flap closure which opens up to canvas lining and a windowed driver’s license slot. The dimensions are 7.5″ x 4″ x .5″ and if I were to get this wallet, I would opt for the bone- I think it is stunning. Buy it through eLuxury for $520.

And for the last Spy of the day, Fendi brought in two power tools to make a bag that could be one of the most gorgeous fall bags I’ve seen yet. In my opinion, Velvet can either look amazing or look tacky. In the case of the Spy, velvet looks amazing. The Fendi Wisteria Velvet Spy Bag shows off soft and sultry black velvet along with leather floral appliqués. While I would not consider this bag a bag for all seasons, I do consider it a bag that would make you have the most stunning accessory for fall and winter. Since this is the 3rd Spy of the day, you know all about the extras the bag has. Only difference is that this bag as satin lining. This seems like the most divine combination ever. I want one so badly… Vlad is going to get whined at in about 5 minutes time. Anyone else in lurve with this beauty?? Available to be pre-ordered through Saks for $2990 (I loveee how the price is just under $3000 which helps me justify it more!!)

Before I start to hear it, STOP. Today is Spy day here at the Purse Blog whether you like it or not. If not, come back tomorrow and the Spys will be gone, promise
Many of us have seen the Wisteria Spy Bag, but this color looks divine on the bag. The Fendi Wisteria Leather Spy Bag is designed from the supple textured leather which is perfectly offset by floral appliqué, woven double top handles and wristlet accent. Just like the other Spys, this sibling Spy also has a hidden coin purse, canvas lining, and measures 11″H X 17″L X 9″W. While the Wisteria has already been welcomed to the world, this color has not. This is what Fendi calls Grey and it looks lavish and melts my heart. I love the color! Also available via pre-order through Saks for $2380.

I still remember the day that I learned about corduroy pants. I thought the texture was the coolest thing ever. My mom told me about her cords she had in college that were bell-bottoms and pink, blue, green, black, beige, and every color of the rainbow. All I thought to myself was “I want those on me!!!!” Little did I know that cords are nothing out of the ordinary really, but they still appeal to me. While many are still not on the Fendi Spy wagon, I am obviously a huge fan. The Fendi Corded Leather Spy Bag manifests in the Spy that many of us know and love with a bit of distinction with its ribbed leather. Some people just dig textures and I am one of those people. The Spy is no different than the others in that it has a hidden coin purse with a snap closure, a fold-over flap closure, woven double handles, and canvas lining. While I do feel special and love my Spy bag, I would love to be on the list of ‘extraordinary’ Spy’s. This bag measures 11″H X 17″L X 9″W and is available in Cherry leather through Saks for $3300 (pre-order- expected to ship by 9/30).

Despite what you may think, I am not here to praise this Fendi bag. Actually, it would make sense to send some positive feedback its way, because frankly, it is a gorgeous tote. The embossed horse design in the skin-colored leather is really pretty to look at, the shape looks great as well - this is truely a Fendi that could find many lovers among you bag-loving ladies.
However, I need to voice my disappointment at the quality of Fendi’s Selleria line products. While in the Big Apple last week, Megs, her brothers and mom picked out a Fendi Selleria wallet for Megs’ sister, who was visiting Columbus this past weekend. A random gift from the heart. Shan didn’t even manage to use it for two days until the dye of the stitching appeared to leak onto the leather, leaving noticable dark stains along the stitching itself and also rubbing off on the leather on folded side, opposite to the stitching. We have yet to investigate with Fendi if this is a production error of some sort. The wallet did not get splashed with water, nor was it exposed to any unusual conditions like humidity, heat, cold, whatever.
I do not believe that a product for ~$600 should have its dye ooze and stain the leather. Most certainly not after two days of light use and carrying it around in a tote all day. I will post pictures later once Megs drops it off at my place. I’d love to hear opinions from you guys, maybe you’ve had a similar thing happen with Fendi products in the past.
Regardless, I’d be hesitant to drop over $2,300 on a tote that may end up dissolving in the rain.
