Many clutches look very similar to the next. Small and handheld. Obviously this is the basis of a clutch, but I find it mundane to look at every clutch in a room looking like a sister to every other. Remaining small and handheld, the Armani Linea Python Clutch’s cylinder shape and python offer the perfect dimensions to set this clutch apart. There is not much else this clutch has to show, just a straightforward bag with an exotic skin and lovely shape. Lined in black lining, this clutch closes with an extended tab closure. Dimensions are 3 9/10″H x 12 3/5″W x 1 3/5″D. Both green and black are available via Neiman Marcus for $1925.
Two days ago was the highly anticipated Marc Jacobs show at Fashion Week. In true MJ style, the show began over two hours late, the show went backwards with Marc walking the stage first followed by the procession of all models then individual walks, and the clothing seemed to be missing key pieces. What was not missing was the long list of hot celebs who showed up. Among them was the natural beauty Elisha Cuthbert, who showed off her curvaceous body with a tight tucked in shirt, high waisted pants, and sleek pulled back hair. In her hand is a brand new clutch, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Collection Stones Clutch, which combines simplicity in design with a modern appeal in the logo-etched metal and stone ornament on front. Elisha must have a special edition of the clutch with an exotic crocodile body, but the clutch available to the ‘regular’ folks, like me, comes in black leather. I will not know if Elisha loved the show, but she looked great arriving at it. Buy via eLuxury for $1650.

Typically a striped ivory/black pattern could scare me away, but for some odd relentless reason, I am completely and totally drawn to this clutch. Valentino has released the Valentino Striped Bow Clutch which shows off an oversized bow that doubles over as a wristlet along with the black/ivory satin that I am now fond of. A zip closure with satin pull tabs finish off the outside, alongside black satin lining on the inside. There are no pockets, just one compartment. The measurements are 5″H x 10″W x 1/2″D. In a larger bag, I would most likely give it a nay, but in this smaller clutch, it provides the perfect va-voom. Pre-order via Bergdorf Goodman for $850.

It’s all about hand-held bags. They may life easy, keep those arms and shoulders from hurting, and can be flung on the wrist like an over-sized dangling bracelet. I often travel with my Louis Vuitton Wapity which is a godsend. For a funky over sized clutch, the Jimmy Choo Foldover Calfskin Clutch is the perfect mix of shiny leather goodness and stylish gold tone hardware bling. Every year the Renaissance fair came to my town and every year I went and ate the largest pesticide infested pickles, watched live Chess, and gnawed on a turkey leg. One year my class took a field trip to the fair and for extra credit we could dress up; of course I dressed up because what kid does not want a 110% in 3rd grade? To top off my outfit I would have needed a perfect bag to carry my coins etc to barter at the market. Perfectly fitting for that era would be the Oscar de la Renta Gilded Suede Clutch which resembles a bag a dame from the Renaissance era would wear. A bit outdated for my taste with its black gathered suede, gold-tone beaded front, and framed top, yet still elegant. Available through Bergdorf Goodman for $995.
For a brief moment in time this bag popped up on eLuxury and after I cleaned the drool up from underneath my mouth, the bag was gone. Seriously are there that many people trying to make me frustrated and trying to buy bags that I want? Yep, I think so. But I will make a trip to my local LV and get this baby, because I in love. The Louis Vuitton Aumoniere Satin Multicolore is designed with silky satin multicolore pattern on the outside and is trimmed in Ayer (water snake). The inside is lined with taffeta and lamb leather. The hardware is golden brass and there are two Louis Vuitton engraved stud closures. There is an optional golden brass chain to use this bag as a shoulder bag, but I would wear this baby as a clutch all the way. I couldn’t be more in love with this clutch. I am having a mind block (possibly by choice) on the price. Keep checking eLuxury or your local LV Store for this beauty.

Roberto Cavalli has combined jewelry with handbags to make the ultimate chic evening bag. Seriously, this bag could not get any hotter if it tried to. The Roberto Cavalli Animal Print Bracelet Bag is a gold and brown leopard print clutch bag with a gold serpent bracelet as handle. We do live in a fast paced world, but I am pretty certain I have not seen a clutch like this yet. The handle is a bracelet which takes care of 2 accessories at once. Seriously who would not like to kill two birds with one stone? This Cavalli number has gold leather piping trim and a spring clasp fastening to close the bracelet. My college years were spent partying like a Rockstar. College is the only time I can think that people go out 5 nights a week and do not walk around like complete zombies. While I cannot do what I did in college these days, there is still a little party girl in me and I am not completely lame yet. Romanek Crocodile Rockstar Clutch shows a fun wrap around ‘croc tail’ that makes its way around this colorful crocodile bag. I can imagine bringing sexy back with this 10″x5 1/2″ x 2″ clutch which is available in turquoise, dark green, cognac, or red. Yep, totally hot. The price is a bit too hot for me to handle right now, but I’ll keep shaking my rump and dreaming of having a rockstar clutch like this one. Buy through Barneys for $2,195.00.
