Aiming to get a foothold in the ever expanding online video and gaming arena, MTV (Viacom) is set to acquire Atom Entertainment.

The acquisition will include popular sites like AtomFilms, Addicting Clips, Addicting Games and Shockwave.com. Prior to sites like YouTube that host user generated content, AtomFilms was one of the preeminent distributors of online videos and films. (via MarketingVox)
