OCI Fashion Show has Loyal following

The annual spring fashion show to benefit Opportunity Center Inc. has developed a loyal following over the past 11 years. Women know that it’s the place to see and buy the newest fashions from New York at very affordable prices, says Joanne Finnigan, one of the fashion show volunteers.

Organizers expect more than 700 people to attend the lunch or dinner fashion show on April 27 at Waterfall Banquet and Conference Center in Claymont, Delaware.

“Fashion show” is perhaps a misnomer. It’s more a trunk show on a grand scale. In addition to enjoying a sit-down meal and runway fashion show, guests can shop for clothing and bring it home on the spot.

Fifteen percent of all sales go to OCI to support its employment services for people with disabilities.
